Summary:
I first got involved in film and television as a volunteer at Optus Local Vision and Channel 31 in 1995 and got to learn all aspects of television production. After completing a Bachelor of Music in 1999, I landed a job as an online editor at Horizon Films and got the chance to work alongside alongside directors such as Patrick Hughes and Greg McLean while also branching out to editing, sound design and VFX.
In 2003 I embarked on a freelance career and assisted on many films, TV drama series and documentaries on platforms such as AVID, Lightworks and Final Cut Pro. In 2005 I began working as a freelance music photographer, supplying images for jMag, Rolling Stone and the Meredith Music Festival and in 2006 became a ProTools recording engineer at Eastern Bloc music studios, various live venues and Monkeesee sound post-production facilities.
In 2007 I took on a role at The University of Melbourne in digital media production encompassing audio/video production, videoconferencing and live web streaming. This work also included working closely with academic and professional staff with eLearning initiatives and audio and video resourcing for the Learning Management System and Digital Repository. In 2011 I helped set-up a music streaming server for the Faculty of Music and VCA and directed live broadcasts of the Festival of Ideas event.
